I found it fascinating. I loved listening to the discussion and hearing directly from Jaycee. I'm left wanting more discussion about appeasement and the autonomic nervous system. I started listening hoping to learn if appeasement is a hybrid state of the social engagement system with some underlying sympathetic arousal. I stopped working on a chapter to listen to these videos seeking a deeper understanding. (I'm working on a piece about IFS, trauma, and physical illness.) I was confused by Stephen's explanation of fawning in the first video, which sounded like a description of collapse. I was hoping for more detail on appeasement and fawning from a Polyvagal perspective.

I am so grateful for the courage it took to create this course. The interviews were incredibly insightful and provided an important new framework for how we think about "stockholm syndrome." This course made me rethink the whole idea of co-regulation and the appeasement response to trauma.
